The language in Tao Yuanming's works is plain, but it expresses deep emotions and rich thoughts in simple and plain language; The meaning is easy to understand, and its connotation needs to be savored carefully, but it is also full of emotion and fun. Liang Shiqiu said, "The ultimate brilliance belongs to simplicity, but that simplicity is not mediocre, that simplicity is not bland and tasteless, that simplicity is an artistic charm that does not reveal the marks of chiseling."


Like rural oral language, but the artistic image created is vivid and distinct. Su Shi once said, "At the beginning of the Yuan and Ming dynasties, poetry seems to be scattered and slow, and reading it thoroughly is full of curiosity. It is as warm as a distant village, leaning against the smoke of the countryside. Dogs bark in the deep alleys, and chickens crow and mulberry trees sway." He also said, 'Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, leisurely seeing the southern mountains.' The grandeur and grandeur of the poem convey a sense of wonder, and thus it can be so. It is like a skilled craftsman carrying a pound without axes or chisels, and those who do not know it will exhaust their energy until death do not realize it. Techniques

As written in the seventh chapter of "The Sun and the Sky Are Cloudless" in "The Analects of the Ancient", "The Moon in the Clouds" and "The Leaf in China" are not only the scenery of spring on a moonlit night, but also a metaphor for the most beautiful and enjoyable brief time in life. The scenery in Tao Yuanming's works is often personified, such as pine trees, fragrant chrysanthemums, returning birds, and solitary clouds, which are common in daily life and also symbols of the poet's noble character.


Styles

Tao Yuanming is skilled in poetry, prose, and prose. His poems often depict natural scenery and scenes of rural life, and this pastoral life is also the main theme of Tao Yuanming's poetry.
